How To Sync Xiaomi Mi Band 7 With Strava

I’m currently daily driving the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 and I think it’s a brilliant fitness tracker.

With the release of the Mi Band 7, a new app was also made available to download, the app is called Zepp Life and it replaces the old Mi Fit app. It’s available to download for Android and IOS!

After using the app for a week, I can confirm that the app is good! In fact, I really like it but the one thing that is bothering me is the fact that at present, the only external service that it syncs to is Google Fit. One can only hope that more integrations are on the way!

In the meantime, I have managed to find a workaround and it’s quite simple and doesn’t involve signing up for any other services! But it does involve downloading an app!

The Solution

To fix this issue, simply download the Zepp (Amazfit) version of the app and log in with the account created in the main app. I used my Xiaomi account for this.

Whilst the band will not appear in the Amazfit version of the app, the data will somehow sync between the two apps, which at the same time will allow you to connect your Strava account as well as a handful of other services.

Verdict

The Zepp Life app is still a relatively new app that is likely still being developed. Therefore, the best thing we can do is send them feedback and wait.

Personally, I actually joined their beta program to get a glimpse of the new features available, to help them develop the app even better!
