As a tech enthusiast, I try and test loads of cool tech products in my everyday life and some of these products are rather cheap. But are they worth it?

That will depend on the product. That’s why I decided to share 6 Awesome tech items that I’ve tried, tested and in some cases purchased that I would recommend…

1. SoundPeats Free2Classic

For those of you who are new here, I test many earbuds as well as audio devices on my YouTube channel. But I tend to test wireless earbuds most often.

Out of all the wireless earbuds I’ve tested over the last two years the Soundpeats Free2Classic, stand for two things, their unbelievably cheap price and sound quality.

At the time of writing this article, they are priced at £21.99 on Amazon, which I think is a very good price for wireless earbuds.

But what I really like about them is their simplicity, they are basic earbuds which look stylish (especially in this case), they have a good battery life and they generally sound good.

If you are looking for a basic set of wireless earbuds that don’t feature Active Noise Cancelling or any other features, just basic earbuds, these are perfect for you!

2. JBL Go 3

Staying on with audio products, I wanted to talk about the JBL Go 3, which is a brilliant little Bluetooth speaker, which surprisingly sounds powerful!

Its size makes it the perfect edition for your everyday carry and to take with you travelling. It’s also great for use in the garden or even in the office, I mean it’s loud that’s for sure!

At the time of writing this article, the JBL Go 3 costs £34.80 with a usual price of £39.99 which still is a rather good price.

I mainly use this speaker for camping and travelling due to its small size and when in the garden, I tend to use the JBL Flip Essential which sounds even better!

3. Xiaomi Smart Band 7

The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 is a brilliant activity tracker, which comes packed with some incredibly cool features such as sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, decent battery life and a 1.62″ AMOLED display!

At the time of writing this article, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 is available for £40.59 on Amazon, with a regular price of  £54.99. Which I still think is a great price considering what you are getting with it.

I’ve always been a fan of the Xiaomi smart bands and even owned the original at some point and they never disappoint, even when it comes to their tracking capabilities.

On top of all these features, you also have access to a range of good-looking watch faces, which look very clean and modern.

The band also performs very well with next to no system lag. My only complaint is that there seems to be a difference in the app you use based on your region.

4. iBlockCube Cube Extension Lead

The iBlockCube Cube extension lead is a handy little gadget that allows you to power up all your other gadgets and it has 2 USB-A as well as 2 USB-C Ports for charging your tech.

I wanted to include this item because power extension leads tend to be quite handy when it comes to either charging or powering up your tech and gadgets.

I particularly like this extension lead because one of the USB-C Ports can provide up to 20W of power for faster charging and the extension lead is well protected with built-in overload protection as well as anti-surge protection to keep your precious tech safe.

At the time of writing this article, the iBlockCube Cube extension lead is available on Amazon for £27.99, which I think is great considering the features, the cable being 3 meters in length as well as the fact that you get 5 power outlets.

5. HP DeskJet 2710e

Yes, I know the HP DeskJet 2710e is just a printer, but it’s actually not a bad printer and it can be very cheap on the ink!

One of my favourite reasons for recommending HP printers is because of a service they offer called HP Instant Ink, which is a monthly ink subscription service. Don’t go away just yet!!

It works by you selecting a plan based on how many pages you print per month. So for example, if you print no more than 50 pages in a month, you simply pay £2.99 per month and they send you out cartridges when your ink gets low so that you never run out.

Why is this good? Well if we compare the annual price of the 50-page plan, it adds up to £35.88 annually, if you go for the most basic plan of just 10 pages per month it’s just 99p! which obviously adds up to £11.99! and if we compare that to the cost of buying a set of cartridges, it will set you back around £20.99 a set. So if you run out of ink say 3 times a year, you will be spending around £62 annually.

But of course, it depends on your printing needs, without the subscription, the ink for this printer is still pretty cheap. It’s worthwhile looking out for the trial subscriptions, as this printer comes with a 6-month trial of HP instant ink and considering the price of the printer, you just can’t complain.

At the time of writing this article, the HP 2710e costs £40 exactly on Amazon, its original price is £49.99 which still is a great price considering the fact you get a 6-month free ink trial with it.

6. TONOR TC30 Microphone

The last tech item I wanted to talk about in this article is the Tonor TC30 microphone, which is surprisingly a pretty decent Microphone, but you’ll have to watch the video to find out for yourself. 🙂

Not only does the Mic look premium, but voice recordings actually sound really good!

At the time of writing this article, the Tonor TC30 costs £29.99 on Amazon, with the usual price of £33.99 which for what you are getting for the price, is absolutely a brilliant price!

I’ve used the microphone to record many voiceovers for my videos and they sound great. While it’s not the main microphone I use these days, I certainly use it with my laptop whenever I’m recording something away from my desk due to its portable size.

Final Thoughts

Those were 6 tech items I tried, tested and in some cases purchased over the last two years. When it comes to this sort of article or video, I don’t tend to include items I haven’t had a chance to use or test myself and I think it’s fair to say that each one of these items has impressed me in some way.

Whether it’s the price, a certain feature or simply the quality, these are all pretty good!

Now it’s your turn, I want to know 3 of your favourite items that you’ve tried or purchased that are available under £50 or $62.75 if you’re in the United States or the equivalent amount from where ever you are in the world!
