My Tech & Gear

As a tech enthusiast, I love checking out new tech and gadgets. Below is an up-to-date list of tech I currently use.

📱 Phone

At present my current daily driver is the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which I believe to be an excellent phone. I only recently got this phone so expect to see content very soon!

💻 iPad Pro

One of the best investments I ever made as a university student was an iPad. It’s perfect for note-taking, research, writing, reading books, and more. The list of possibilities is endless! During my undergraduate course I just used a standard iPad with the 1st Gen Apple Pencil, it was the perfect device to carry along with my laptop. However, for my postgrad, I decided to upgrade to an iPad Pro along with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil and Logitech Keyboard case and it replaced my laptop. Today, I treat the iPad Pro as my main computer!

🎧 Google Pixel Buds Pro

I’ve tested many truly-wireless earbuds in 2022, but my favourite earbuds are the Google Pixel Buds Pro. Not only do they sound great, but they are also packed full of useful features including multipoint Bluetooth, Active Noise Cancelling, Transparency mode and more!

⌚ Google Pixel Watch

My go-to smartwatch is the Google Pixel Watch which I’ve been daily driving since the beginning of the year. I think that the Pixel Watch is a great watch, full of potential. I’m using the watch with the Chofit Stainless Steel strap which makes the watch look extra fancy!

🔑 KeySmart Max

The KeySmart Max is a great little gadget which helps keep your keys organised and has a rechargeable Tile tracker and touch. As someone who always misplaces his keys, being able to track them is a lifesaver!

🔔 Ring Doorbell

Another great investment I made this year was the Ring Doorbell. It’s good to be able to talk to couriers and people at your door when you’re not at home. No more missed parcels and improved security – what more could you ask?

💻 My Laptop

I’m currently using the Huawei MateBook D15 from 2021 which is an excellent laptop for the price! I purchased the laptop for £499.99 which considering the hardware specification is a really good price. Speaking of which, this particular version comes with an Intel i5-1135G7 Quad-core processor, Intel Iris Xe GDDR4 graphics as well as a 512GB SSD. My only major complaint is that you can’t upgrade the RAM.

🖥️ My Rig

As an IT Expert, I’ve obviously had to build my own PC! I currently have a mid-range gaming PC which is perfectly adequate for my needs especially since, over the last 3 years, I’ve been using it mainly for research, coursework, and work. The initial rig was built around 3 to 4 years ago, but I’ve been upgrading and changing components all the time. I recently completely rebuilt it with a new motherboard and CPU to make it compatible with Windows 11.
