My Tech & Gear

As a tech enthusiast, I love checking out new tech and gadgets. Below is an up-to-date list of tech I currently use.

Some of my favorites

📱 Phone

My main daily driver is the iPhone 12 in blue. I’ve recently moved to the Apple Ecosystem as it suits my lifestyle better compared to Android. Although I also use the Pixel 5 for my side gig, I don’t think I’ll be fully moving back into the Android world unless something drastically changes.

💻 iPad Pro

One of the best investments I ever made as a university student was an iPad. It’s perfect for note-taking, research, writing, reading books, and more. The list of possibilities is endless! During my undergraduate course I just used a standard iPad with the 1st Gen Apple Pencil, it was the perfect device to carry along with my laptop. However, for my postgrad, I decided to upgrade to an iPad Pro along with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil and Logitech Keyboard case and it replaced my laptop. Today, I treat the iPad Pro as my main computer!

🎧 AirPods Pro

The AirPods Pro are arguably the best tech investment I made in 2021! They sound great and are small enough to fit in your pocket. Apart from the great sound quality, transparency mode enables you to safely walk or run without worrying about getting hit by a bus, whereas the active noise-cancelling works perfectly whilst on the bus!

⌚ Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE is another great investment. It’s not the latest or the best one out there, but it’s more than enough for my needs. I actually went for the Nike edition and I can honestly say that it has helped me keep fit, organized, and up to date.

🏷️ Apple AirTag

As someone who always misplaces their keys all the time, being able to track them is a lifesaver! I have many trackers such as the Tile, NotiOne, Chipolo, and Samsung Tag+ but out of all, I think the AirTag works best.

🔔 Ring Doorbell

Another great investment I made this year was the Ring Doorbell. It’s good to be able to talk to couriers and people at your door when you’re not at home. No more missed parcels and improved security – what more could you ask!

Why You Should Get A Ring Doorbell

💳 Curve Card

Unfortunately, this one is only available in certain countries. However, this has honestly been a lifesaver! I couldn’t recommend it enough! A Curve card is a bank card, a MasterCard to be precise which combines all your cards into one and you can select the card you need in the app. Not only does it help keep your bulge down, but it’s also a more secure method of paying. It’s also compatible with Apple Wallet and Google Pay! The main advantage is the fact that you might be able to add cards to it that aren’t supported by digital wallets! The list of advantages just goes on!

🖥️ My Rig

As an IT Expert, I’ve obviously had to build my own PC! I currently have a mid-range gaming PC which is perfectly adequate for my needs especially since, over the last 3 years, I’ve been using it mainly for research, coursework, and work. The initial rig was built around 3 to 4 years ago, but I’ve been upgrading and changing components all the time. I recently completely rebuilt it with a new motherboard and CPU to make it compatible with Windows 11.
